Since its inception in 1852, Interserve has chosen to serve in partnership with the churches for the discipling of the nations. As reflected in our statement of faith, “We acknowledge that the Church is God's instrument for mission and evangelization. The local congregation in its worship, sacraments and fellowship, together with its evangelism and social care, witnesses to the love and justice of God”.

We understand that Church is the body of Christ that includes traditional denominational Churches, contemporary emerging Churches with new forms of worship and structure and all other organizations, institutions founded by lay members within the existing structure or outside. We do not draw distinctions between the so called ‘main line Churches’, independent Churches and Para-Church agencies but seek to include all for the sake of the glory of God.
We are privileged to serve the local church in encouraging all its members to play their part in world mission through learning more in order to pray and to give. Interserve serves as a link between needs and available resources. We also share in the responsibility of the sending- churches by providing pastoral care to the missionaries. We are looking forward to partnering with many more churches in future.
