In the twentieth century, Indians have emerged as cyberspace giants whose prowess in software is acknowledged the world over. With the rising number of Merger & Acquisitions of global business enterprises by the Indian business houses, the presence of Indian businessmen in the global arena is increasingly felt. Also, the recent proliferation of Call-Centers, BPOs and KPOs has catapulted Indians to world significance. India has forcefully made its entry into the global economic arena.
In this backdrop, the global Church also needs the involvement of Indian Christians in world wide missions as the western church is facing the challenge of declining participation. The West is increasingly becoming de-Christianized and the “Southern shift” in Christianity has resulted in the Christian population being concentrated in the Eastern countries. Now, the Macedonian call for Indian Christian community is coming from every part of the world. Indian Christians need to respond to this call and go out as bearers of the Good News not just within India but to the ends of the earth.
Interserve India has captured this call and the development of the strategic directions has brought clarity to who we are, what we want to see in the future, and how we will fulfil God's purposes globally. Interserve will serve as a facilitating body to assist Christian professionals to spread out world over, spreading the fragrance of the gospel and transforming societies for Christ.
